Naya did this perfectly. She’s absolutely broken because this is the person who she wants to spend every day of the rest of her life with but she knows that staying together right now is only hurting them so she has to “do the mature thing” and end it. She says its not an official break up but everyone knows that no one ever successfully goes on breaks so she knows that things arent going to be the same and she may or may not be potentially losing her soulmate forever. She’s trying to stay strong but you can literally see the pain in her eyes and the hesitance in her voice
and Heather. Jesus fucking christ then there is Heather “I can’t act” Morris, who in my opinion, is brilliant at subtle acting. I highly doubt that it was written in her script to shake her head and have her lip quiver. She’s watching the person who she loves more than it is even possible start to tell her that they are breaking up. From this .02 second shot you get a million emotions. Brittany doesn’t know what to do or say, her whole life just did a 180 from 5 minutes ago and she literally has no idea how to handle it
